ARTIST TALK & DEMO
AT ASIAN ART MUSEUM
SAN FRANCISCO, CA
March 24 -25, 2017
Rupy had the honor to share the unique Sikh painting style from the Sikh Kingdoms during the 19th century as well as contemporary Gurmukhi calligraphy at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, CA. The Artist demo and talk were part of the programming in support of the Sikh Art Exhibition "Saints and Kings" running at the museum. It was a moment of pride to bring Sikh heritage to life through art practice at a major museum.
Over the last 3 years, I've held about 200 interactive painting workshops with more than 8,000 participants in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love creating a fun and relaxing environment that frees up people to express themselves through painting. Most participants don't have any prior painting experience.
Each workshop lasts between 1.5 - 2 hours as I walk the group through a unique painting, one step at a time. To keep the focus of the event on valuable group interactions, the hassle of setting up is all mine. I provide all of the supplies for the workshop. All you have to do is have your guests show up and enjoy themselves.
I've conducted fun, creative workshops most frequently for different types of gatherings including:
Conferences and conventions
Private get-togethers of family and friends
Basic skills workshop with kids aged 10 and up
Corporate milestone events
Team building activities for startups and groups
